Little unrequested goodie: set stars on any entity to quickly remember it. Find all your starred entities on the 'StarPage' (right under the button for the 4D menu). Careful: stars are saved in your browser's local storage. So they are lost when you clear browser data.
Bugfix in dataset import: most infos from the metaheader were ignored (e.g. EventLabel). Now, everything from json-metaheader should show up correctly.

More drag'n'drop: easily sort staff entries in campaigns, references, and datasets. It is now also simple to remove an entity tag from a list: hover with the mouse and click the appearing red x.
Parameter list import improved: it will now check the unit, too, to see if a parameter already exists.

Notification messages are back! Sorry, was a side effect of the UI library update. AND: if you search in lists, the input fields are autofocussed for less clicking.

Sometimes the entity tags are a little narrow and you cannot see differences in longer titles/names. I added an experimental 'wide tags' option to the top right of the title bar. It may break the layout, but help if you need to see more.

I made a major update of the UI toolkit that powers the editorial (ant.design version 4 to 5). So layout has changed at a couple of different places. If something looks broken or is not usable in some way, please let me know.

Happy New Year! I have a couple changes about dataset publishing: publication date is readonly, it is automatically updated, when dataset status is set to 'published'. The dataset timeline shows the DOI registration date as last step. DOI registration date is also a column in the dataset list. If a dataset has a DOI, it can not be deleted. Instead, if you set the dataset status to 'deleted', the series will be removed but the rest of the dataset will be left intact.

A couple of smaller changes: When importing the metadata from JIRA, the comment is now imported into the internal comment field. The order of the fields of references are now similar to the order in 4D. Reference type is added to references, also in reference list, sortable and searchable. And: you can now open an entity by double-clicking on the tag (instead of clicking on the pen-icon in the popup).
The 'metadata lookup' button on references searches on the whole citation as default. The citation here is a concatenation of most of the fields of a reference, but does not follow any citation standards. You can still change the citation to search for or enter your own. You can also copy the citation from the heading of the reference edit tab (there is a little copy button).

During data matrix import, the datatype field is now automatically populated with the datatype of the series parameter. Datatype and format are readonly fields on the data series.

Recent changes bell added. When new features become available, the bell pops up to notify you. Click to see the recent changes (like this one). Click the 'Upgrade' button to reload the app with all new features. Do not forget to save your pending changes before upgrading.

What's New
Submission Frontend
To support the new data submission workflow the according submission form is online including the Jira frontend and the 4D editorial system. All submitted metadata are compiled in the ‘metadata.json’ that is attached to the corresponding ticket. The json file is also the source when transferring metadata to our 4D editorial system.
For the metadata that are transferred to 4D now the specification of a memorandum can be set. If the data provider checks ‘moratorium until a related article is published’ and no data is given, 4D by default will set the date to 6 months ahead of the time of data submission. In any case a corresponding internal comment is left.
Furtheron, transfer of metadata includes the authors specification. To improve the overall efficiency in case an author is unknown to PANGAEA the option to insert a new record is given. The same procedure was implemented for awards and it is planned for projects once the autocomplete for projects on the data submission frontend works properly.
Upcoming Features
With the current data submission workflow it is not possible to edit data submissions. This is subject of our current developments and it is planned to ship it within the next release during the next months.
